Glamping Pods Terms of Service

Hot Tubs

Hot tubs are not included for 1 night stays. Hot Tubs are included in all glamping pod types. They do not come prewarmed and require up to 4 hours to heat up.

Code of Conduct

We expect all our guests to be respectful to the site and look after the premises which you are staying.Please be respectful to the other guests around you and for the courtesy of the other guests we ask that no amplified music is played outside the Pods and loud music is not played after 11pm.Please do not enter any of the farm buildings around the area, nor private gardens. We take our Health and Safety responsibilities seriously and ask visitors to respect our rules. Guests are otherwise permitted to walk anywhere on Chiddinglye Estate or on the surrounding Public Rights of Way, but please respect private signs and do not trespass on to our neighbour’s land to the south. Parish Ordnance Survey maps and a map of the estate are provided in Pods.Please bear in mind that you are responsible for your children’s safety whilst Glamping @ Missing Link.

Conduct in the Pods

Please respect the pods and take shoes off before entering.No cooking or fires are permitted on the wooden decked area.No smoking (or e-cigarettes) inside the pods or within a 5m reach from any of the pods.Please do not move the fire pits provided for each pod and ensure that they remain not less than 5m from any pod.

Guests

The number of persons using a glamping pod should not exceed the number of beds in the Pod and must include at least one adult. The proprietor reserves the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised person off the premises.Visitors who are not staying on-site are not permitted to visit Glamping @ Missing Link. This is for the comfort and security of all our guests.

Payment Policy

A deposit of one half of the rental is payable on booking. The balance of the rental is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings made less than 6 weeks in advance, the total amount is payable on booking

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation or a no-show by the Hirer the payment will not be fully or partly refunded. If you cancel your booking, your deposit is non-refundable.In the unlikely event of cancellation by the Owner before the holiday is due to begin; there would be a full refund of any monies paid. However, Glamping @ Missing Link are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your booking because of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but will not be limited to) war, terrorism, serious crime, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, or such similar events (Force Majeure). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.The Owners accept all bookings in good faith. However in the unlikely event of the Owners or their agent having to cancel any booking previously confirmed, their liability will be limited to the return in full of any monies paid.

Complaints Procedure

Any complaints must be made known to the Proprietor immediately. No complaints will be entertained at the end of the hiring period or after the Hirer has departed. We take all comments from our guests seriously and will try to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

Pets

Dogs are permitted in Pods 1-6. Please bring your own dog bed and dog food and please ensure that your dog is under control. In particular please do not let your dog chase sheep. PLEASE DO NOT BRING DOGS INTO HOT TUBS.

Smoking

Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes is NOT allowed in the glamping pods or within 5m reach from the pods. Do not leave cigarette ends on the ground, in or on the pod and decking. Please be respectful of the environment and wildlife.

Owner Access

The Hirer shall permit the Owner or his agent the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection or to carry out repairs deemed necessary to the property, or equipment including the landscape works.

Breaching Conditions

If there is any breach of these conditions by the Hirer, the Owner may re-enter the premises and there upon the Hiring created shall absolutely determine but without prejudice to other rights and remedies of the Owner.

Insurance

Please take out your own insurance cover as the Owners cannot be responsible for any loss incurred from theft or damage to your belongings, also arrange cancellation insurance if you wish.

Provisions

Linen is provided i.e., sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, towels, bathmats, tea towels are all included in the price.

Heating

All pods are fitted with an heating system and this is included in the hire charge.

Check in/Check Out Procedure

Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. We ask guests do not arrive early (unless agreed prior) in order to make sure all the preparations are done appropriately. Please make your way to the Missing Link Tap Room to check in, unless it is closed or you are a late arrival in which case your key will be in the safe box outside your Pod.Check out is 10am on the day of departure. Leave your keys in the door and please follow the checkout procedures that are in your pod.If you want a later check out please request this well in advance. This may not be possible during busy times.Unauthorised late checkout may incur additional charges if not arranged in advance.

At the End of your Stay

Guests are asked to leave their accommodation clean and tidy when vacating, guests may be susceptible to a £50.00 charge to the booking payment method, if the accommodation is not left in an acceptable manner. Please do not put any items such as sanitary towels or baby wipes in the toilet, do not remove anything from the Pods, and leave the kitchen utensils and crockery clean.Please take your rubbish with you or leave in the red bin located in the car park.

Parking

There is ample parking in the car park. Please make sure you park sensibly in the allotted space and be considerate of other guests and their spaces, all parking is done so at your own risk.You may drive down to your pod to unload and/or load, but please turn around at the hammerhead at the end of the pods (do not drive on the grass) and leave your car in the car park.

Liability

Guests are responsible for informing the Owner if any damages or loss occur. Any damages or breakages that may occur must be paid for. Accidental damages or breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged.Guests should not remove any item from the property. Charges for damaged or missing items may be made to the payment card at the time of booking.Guests will find and inventory in their pod when they arrive. The inventory lists each item and the replacement costs for broken, damaged or missing items. Items not paid for before departure will be charged, without prior notice, to the card used at the time of booking.

Group Bookings

If you wish to book for a special occasion please let us know when you book.The whole ten pod site may be hired out by family groups for special get-togethers. Please enquire by phone or email for availability.

Campfires and Barbeques

Guests own campfires and barbeques are not permitted on site. Each pod has their own allocated fire pit/barbeque, please use these in their designated areas for safety reasons.

The Farm Environment

This is a working farm so please keep to the designated area, the Owner can take no responsibility whatsoever for any accidents that may occur. Be aware of farm traffic and stay aware of any overnight changes in the ground due to wildlife and weather.Be aware that throughout the year different jobs need to be carried out on the farm and on others around us, such as picking fruit early in the morning, harvesting and spreading minerals. These are vital to the working farms but can sometimes cause smells and create some noise. Please also be aware that orange electric fencing is sometimes erected around sheep. Please keep children and pets away from this.
